English (5): Against Satan

When I was child, I ever heard that my friend said to the other: “ you are Satan, go away! He said loudly and angrily…”

Who are Satan? Honestly, when I was child, I don’t know exactly what does mean.

Satan was thrown out of heaven because of his rebellion against God. Satan continues to oppose God and will try to use us as his flunkies, because we are the only creatures who have a free will by which we also can rebel against God. For instance, Jesus healed a mute man by driving a demon out of him

In our world, God is constantly acting. Because He is all-loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful, He is taking the initiative in countless circumstances. Satan is always reacting.

St. Teresa of Avila said that God has no hands but our hands, no feet but our feet,. Although there is no "body of Satan," he also has no hands but our hands, no feet but our feet, no voice but our voices, no eyes but ours. Therefore, "no more shall you offer the members of your body to sin as weapons for evil. Rather, offer yourselves to God as men who have come back from the dead to life, and your bodies to God as weapons for justice"

We celebrate the Holy Cross. We believe that the holy cross becomes the sign of our faith to against and to destroy Satan. May our cross can beat Satan in our daily life.

Italiano (4): Piccola Preghiera

In questi tempi oscuri, o Signore

Tu sei la mia unica luce.

Quando sono debole,

Sei tu la mia forza.

Quando mi sento solo,

Tu sei il mio fianco.

Tutto ciò che che mi accade

ogni giorno lo sfrutto per essere

migliore il giorno dopo.

English (4): Three meals

There are three meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner.Of the three meals, dinner gives the most relaxing mood.The day has come to an end, everyone is back home for this meal,it is a time not just to eat, but to relate, to relax and to recreate.These moods were apparent during the Last Supper.That was why when Jesus talked about betrayal, everyone was disturbed.It was not the occasion to talk about such things.Dinner time, or supper time, is supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable time.On the other hand, breakfast signals the start of the day. Even as we take breakfast, we are already thinking about the day ahead,the tasks at hand, the appointments, the schedules, etc. We are all familiar with the Last Supper. The Risen Christ sits among us and gives Himself to us as our spiritual food. May we in turn be the spiritual food for others.

Italiano (3): LA PAZIENZA

Il Vangelo (Mat 13:24-43) raccontava la parabola della zizzania. Seminare zizzania è un’azione scoretta e pericolosa e l’attegiamento giusto è quello dell’attesa e della pazienza. Gesù disse: “Il regno dei cieli è simili a un uomo che ha seminato del buon semen del suo campo, seminò della zizzania in mezzo al grano e se ne andò.”  

            Potremmo imparare tante cose dalla parabole della zizzania. Però, in questa occasione, vorrei sottolineare termine importante nella nostra vita: “La pazienza”. Ecco, la pazienza puol dire una qualità e un atteggiamento interiore proprio di chi accetta il dolore, la difficoltà, la avversità, le molestie, le controversie, la morte con tranquilità. Dio tollera e pazienza, fino a sopportare l’accusa di giudice ingiusto. La pazienza di Dio non è per connivenza col male, né per debolezza, ma è per la dimostrazione della sua forza e della giustizia. Poichè è forte e giusto, Dio giudica con mitezza e governa con indulgenza.

            La parabola della zizzania mostra un motivo di fondo della pazienza di Dio che non mette tra parentesi la sua giustizia, ma attende il momento per intervenire con il giudizio definitivo. Dio non ha fretta, ma aspetta che il piccolo seme di senapa cresca a suo tempo. Alla mietitura, la zizzania sarà legata in fastelli per bruciarla. Il grano invece sarà riposto nel granaio di Dio. Quindi per Dio, non bisogna subito di estirpare la zizzania. La pazienza di Dio non è finita e Gesù disse: “Raccogliete prima la zizzania e legatela in fasci per bruciarla; il grano invece riponatelò nel mio granaio”.

            Mi piace questa parabola perchè è piu facile da dire che agire. Quindi, dovremmo impararla ogni giorno nella vita quotidiana: la pazienza è la virtù dei forti. Cioè, si deve imitare la pazienza di Dio come esempi: essere lento all’ira, essere perseverante, amare gli uomini, lottare centro il maligno etc. la pazienza di Dio significa l’infinita la sua misericordia. Dunque, quando noi incontriamo tante cose, quelle che non sono secondo la nostra volontà, ricordiamoci: abbiamo pazienza! E io vorrei aggiungere: “La pazienza è amara, ma il suo frutto è dolce”
